Last time, I introduced Amanoiwato in Takachiho Town, Miyazaki Prefecture.
This time, I would like to introduce the location of the Amanoiwato legend in Okayama Prefecture, which is famous for Bicchu Kagura.
It is located in the tourist area of Hiruzen, in the northern part of Okayama Prefecture.
It is near "Hiruzen Herb Garden Herbill" which is one of the tourist spots.
"Ama no Iwato" is said to be the place where Amaterasu Omikami hid herself.
In the middle of Mt. Iwakura, in the inner valley, there is a huge rock shaped like a door, and it has been called Amanoiwato since ancient times.
On the way to Amanoiwato, there is an observatory called "Rinkukan".
From the Rinkukan, you can see Amanoiwato, and it is a resting place.
In April, the Amano Iwato Cherry Blossom Festival is held there.
It takes 30 minutes on foot from the parking lot, so please be prepared for that if you go.
