The deity enshrined at Futami Okitama Shrine is Sarutahiko Okami.
It is a place for purification before visiting Ise Grand Shrine.

●Meotoiwa
It is famous for the ``Meotouiwa Rocks'' located within the precincts, and ``Okitama Shinseki(興玉神石)'', a sacred stone related to Sarutahiko Okami, is enshrined in the sea to the northeast of the Meotoiwa Rocks. This is the sacred stone that was welcomed by Sarutahiko no Okami when Wahime no Mikoto entered Futamiura to worship Amaterasu no Omikami, and Meoto Iwa serves as a torii gate to worship the Okitama no Okami stone.

●Futami no Frog
There are many frog ornaments on the grounds of Futami Okitama Shrine. Frogs are said to be the divine messengers of Sarutahiko Okami, and it is said that these frogs were offered as offerings to people who showed virtue by visiting the shrine. Also, because of the frog's name, it is said to bring good luck, such as returning home safely and getting your money back.

●Ama no Iwaya
This is ``Ama no Iwaya'' at Futami Okitama Shrine. There are legends all over Japan about the rocky houses where Amaterasu Omikami hid, and this is one of them.
The circular ropes stacked near the torii are called washimenawa(輪注連縄), and you can rub your body with these ropes to cleanse yourself of any ailments or impurities.

●Hinjitsukan(賓日館)
``Hinichikan'' was originally a resting facility for honored guests visiting Ise Grand Shrine. It is praised for its delicate beauty and has been designated as a nationally designated important cultural property.

●Akafuku
This is a shop that sells Ise's famous "Akafuku". A variety of sweets are available, including Akafuku Mochi, which is mochi wrapped in strained bean paste.
Akafuku ice is popular in the summer. Shaved ice is placed on top of the mochi and red bean paste, topped with matcha flavored syrup.
