5. Hanzaki Footbath, Hanzaki Center
The Hanzaki footbath is about 26 meters long, and you can relax in the footbath while listening to the murmuring of the clear stream surrounded by the mountains.
Nearby is the Hanzaki Center, where you can see live giant salamanders. Both are free.
6. Onimedai Observatory Rest Area
Located at an altitude of 869 meters, it is a scenic spot on the border of Tottori and Okayama prefectures.
7. Hiruzen Herb Garden Herville
A herb garden that can be enjoyed in all four seasons. No matter when you visit, you can appreciate seasonal flowers and herbs.
8. GREENable HIRUZEN
It is a facility where you can experience "sustainability" in Hiruzen Kogen. In the center of the facility is the CLT pavilion Kaze no Ha, which was designed and supervised by architect Kengo Kuma.
9. Hiruzen Yakisoba, Genghis Khan
Hiruzen Yakisoba and Genghis Khan are the local specialties of the Hiruzen Plateau.
10. Yamanori Valley (山乗渓谷)
Yamanori Valley in Hiruzen is a valley with a powerful scenery surrounded by cliffs. At the end of the promenade, there is a 20m drop called “Fudotaki”. It was also used as a filming location for a TV drama.
11. Kanba Falls (神庭の滝)
Kanba Falls is a famous waterfall with a height of 110m and a width of 20m that boasts the largest scale in the Chugoku region. Sometimes monkeys come down from the mountains. The road to the waterfall is well maintained and easy to walk.
