Hello. I'm the manager of the "Teruce-ya" shop.
We will introduce the etymology and origin of Kagura, which is the theme of our restaurant.
The word "kagura" is derived from the word "kamukura," which means "seat of the gods," and "kamukura" means a place where the body of a god is enshrined.
According to Japanese mythology, the origin of kagura is said to be the dance of a goddess named "Ame no Uzume no Mikoto (天鈿女命)".
She danced half-naked, making the gods laugh and thereby triggering the emergence of "Amaterasu Omikami (天照大神)", the deity Amaterasu, who hid in the Iwato cave of the heavens.
The dance of Ame no Uzume no Mikoto is associated not only with Kagura, but also with the occurrence of various performing arts, and Ame no Uzume no Mikoto is worshipped as the god of the performing arts.
The word "Amaterasu Omikami" that appears here is also the origin of our restaurant's name.
