A display shelf for storing matcha bowls used in the tea ceremony and for viewing them at times.
It can store four matcha bowls.
The lid is a trap door type and can be completely removed, and the removed lid can be displayed like an art panel on a special stand.

There are many famous pottery production areas throughout Japan, and each area has its own unique matcha bowls.
Line up the matcha bowls you collected from your travels and enjoy some time immersed in your travel memories.

Not only can you use it as a display shelf for matcha bowls, but you can also use it as a display shelf for tea utensils by putting a set of matcha bowls, kensui, chasen, natsume, etc. in it.
Or you can use it to display Japanese folk crafts.

This display shelf is made of solid Japanese cypress with beautiful straight grain.

It is constructed using the traditional Japanese woodworking technique of "arare kumitsugi".

The traditional Japanese technique of "kumiko" is also used for the lid, adding color to the piece.

Kumiko is a technique originally used for fittings in Japanese architecture such as shoji screens.

To express the Japanese worldview, a plate with a Japanese paper-like texture is placed in the background of the kumiko to resemble a shoji screen.

The surface of the lid is made of transparent acrylic to prevent dirt such as dust and protect the kumiko.

This piece, which shines with high woodworking technique and beauty, is not just a container, but a display shelf itself worth admiring.

The entire surface is waxed to prevent dirt. However, if moisture or dirt gets on the product, wipe it off immediately.
